So the Bears need to upgrade a few positions in the draft. So today, I’ve compiled a list of some of the top prospects in those respective positions for the Monsters of the Midway to select. Note that only realistic picks will be on here so for example, Trevor Lawrence will not be on here. With that out of the way let’s get into it.

Well, with the draft coming pretty soon, I decided to see a potential chaos scenario for the Bears in the NFL Draft. So without further ado, let’s get into it. We will take it step by step.
1. Lawrence, Wilson Go 1 and 2; Niners Draft Ja’Marr Chase
In our chaos scenario, the Niners don’t draft a QB, just like in my newest mock draft. This means that the other 3 QB’s are still available.
2. The Falcons and Lions Pass Up On A QB
In my latest mock, I have Justin Fields going to Detroit. Kyle Pitts goes to Atlanta here. This means the QB’s are still available.
3. The Panthers Pass Up A QB, The Broncos Select Trey Lance
This is another thing I have happening in my mock draft. Except it's only Lance and Jones left at this point. But in this chaos scenario, the Broncos choose Trey Lance, while Carolina drafts someone to build around Sam Darnold.
4. New England Takes Mac Jones At 14
The only other threat ahead of the Pats are the Vikings, but they have other needs to deal with. So the Pats decide on someone who is being compared to TB12 over Fields.
5. Bears Trade Up With Vegas, Draft Justin Fields
Bears Receive: 17th Overall Pick; Raiders Receive: 20th Overall Pick, 2021 5th Round Pick
The Bears, with the threat of the Football Team, trade up to select Justin Fields. They also give up a 5th rounder in the process.
6. Bears Trade Back Into Round 1, Select OT Jaylen Mayfield
Bears Receive: 27th Overall Pick; Ravens Receive: 83rd Overall Pick, WR Anthony Miller
The Bears trade this year’s third, plus Miller (who they’ve wanted to move on from) to Baltimore to get Dalton/Foles/Fields a new tackle who can help protect them.
7. Bears Select CB Tyson Campbell In Round 2
Why not. You get a solid #3 cornerback with the 52nd pick and fill a position of need as well. You could also see a receiver pick here as well.
It’s time for my last mock draft before draft night. Lot’s of changes in this mock draft thanks to pro days, better prospect evaluations, and trades. Also, I will no longer show team needs. Now without further ado, let’s get into my final mock draft for the 2021 draft. Oh yeah, goodbye Google Docs (even though that's what I wrote this on).
1. Jacksonville Jaguars; QB Trevor Lawrence, Clemson
I mean, come on, this has been the consensus #1 pick since the middle of last year. Lawrence is the most NFL ready prospect in this draft, and one of the best quarterbacks in a long time. The Jags could have a really good future with him under center.
2. New York Jets; QB Zach Wilson-BYU
There was speculation about whether or not the Jets would take a QB, but with Darnold traded this confirms it. Now, I’m still questioning whether it should be Wilson or Justin Fields, but Wilson seems like the better choice right now.
3. San Francisco 49ers [from MIA via HOU]; WR Ja’Marr Chase-LSU
Look, the Niners aren’t taking a QB, let alone Mac Jones. They have committed to Jimmy G, who was injured like the rest of the team last year. I don’t know why people think they should trade him after an injury season, which comes just a year removed from a Super Bowl appearance. So they get an offensive weapon to help, arguably the best receiver in this draft in Ja’Marr Chase.
4. Atlanta Falcons; TE Kyle Pitts-Florida
Pitts is the best Tight End prospect we’ve seen, well, ever. If Lawrence wasn’t in this draft Pitts would be the 1st Overall Pick. The Jags and Jets just need QBs. And the Niners already have George Kittle. So the Falcons pass up on a QB and take this great offensive weapon.
5. Cincinnati Bengals; OT Penei Sewell-Oregon
Sewell is and has been the best offensive tackle in this class for a while. With all the teams needing other positions in the top 4, the Bengals get a steal to help protect Joe Burrow after his return from injury.
6. Miami Dolphins [via PHI]; WR Devonta Smith-Alabama
The Heisman winner wants to reunite with Tua. And trading back to 6th could help him. Ja’Marr Chase should be off the board, and Smith would help round out a good receiving core for a Dolphins team looking to make the playoffs.
7. Detroit Lions; QB Justin Fields-Ohio State
This is a toss up selection. The Lions could go cornerback, receiver, or QB. Honestly, this is the most unlikely position with Goff now on the team. However, Fields is a good talent, and the Lions could snatch him up in case Goff doesn’t work out.
8. Carolina Panthers; OT Rashawn Slater-Northwestern
Many people have Slater rated over Sewell now. But don’t forget he was ranked fairly low a few months ago. His stock has risen, and could keep rising until draft night. With Darnold now in Carolina, I think they should get some blockers for him to help his career.
9. Denver Broncos; QB Trey Lance-North Dakota State
The biggest question is whether or not the Broncos think Drew Lock could be the answer. If not, then they’ll take a quarterback, probably Lance especially with their draft position. They could trade up, but with all the good quarterbacks available this year, I think they’ll wait.
10. Dallas Cowboys; CB Patrick Surtain II-Alabama
The first corner off the board goes to Surtain. If Caleb Farley didn’t have injuries, he would probably be here, or even higher. But Surtain is probably going to be the first corner off the board, with Jaycee Horn and Farley coming next.
11. New York Giants; LB Micah Parsons-Penn State
Parsons becomes the first linebacker off the board in this draft. I can see a Waddle pick here as well. Parsons not playing this year really hurt his draft stock. I had him at #2 to start the year, but now he’s down to 11 and could realistically fall even further down. However, the Giants get a good linebacker here.
12. Philadelphia Eagles [from MIA via SF]; WR Jaylen Waddle-Alabama
The Eagles capitalize and correct their past mistakes by drafting a top receiver in the class. Waddle might have won the Heisman over Devonta Smith without his ankle injury. I also considered swapping Smith and Waddle because of people picking Waddle over Smith.
13. Los Angeles Chargers; OL Alijah Vera Tucker-USC
The Chargers need some offensive line help for their young QB. There are plenty of good offensive lineman available, but I think they will choose Vera-Tucker for his ability to play all over the line.
14. Minnesota Vikings; S Trevon Moehrig-TCU
This is a huge reach for the Vikings here, but I’m in charge here. The Vikes pick up the best safety in this class as of now. Granted, about 14 picks before he should but who cares, it’s the Vikings!
15. New England Patriots; QB Mac Jones-Alabama
No, Mac Jones isn’t going 3rd overall. I think he’ll go to the Pats at 15, because the other QB’s are better than him with more experience. It’s obvious that the Pats need a long-term replacement. While Cam is decent, he is not the answer for the future. Jones can sit behind and learn from him for a year.
16. Arizona Cardinals; CB Jaycee Horn-South Carolina
The Cardinals need a replacement for Patrick Peterson, and Horn could be just that. A good corner who could honestly be a steal should they land him here.
17. Las Vegas Raiders; LB Jeremiah Owusu Koramoah-Notre Dame
The Raiders get a good linebacker who can play outside LB and safety, and he could potentially be the Khalil Mack replacement they need. He should be a mid round pick, no higher than 14 or lower than 22.
18. Miami Dolphins; RB Najee Harris-Alabama
The Dolphins are reuniting the 2019 Alabama Team by getting Smith and Harris in this draft. Harris has reportedly been training with Adrian Peterson, a future HOF player. If the Dolphins draft Harris, their offense could eventually be the best in the league.
19. Washington Football Team; OT Christian Darrisaw-Virginia Tech
Darrisaw is a good o-lineman who could protect whoever wins the Washington QB battle. He would’ve been a lot higher if only there weren’t the other good lineman in this class.
20. Chicago Bears; CB Caleb Farley-Virginia Tech
Read my Prospect Analysis for my full report, but Farley can be a future CB2 with Johnson being the CB1. We would also be replacing one Virginia Tech corner in Kyle Fuller with another V-Tech Corner in Caleb Farley.
21. Indianapolis Colts; WR Kadarius Toney-Florida
Despite me not having a good grade on him, he goes to a team that he fits with. I graded Toney as a slot receiver for his height and speed, and Indy needs that.
22. Tennessee Titans; OT Teven Jenkins-Oklahoma State
Jenkins would be an absolute steal for the Titans here. If he doesn’t go to the Bears, then Tennessee shouldn’t pass up on him.
23. New York Jets [via SEA]; RB Travis Etienne-Clemson
The Jets need to get a long-term replacement for Frank Gore. Etienne is an explosive back who shouldn’t fall out of the first round.
24. Pittsburgh Steelers; OT Alex Leatherwood-Alabama
Without a running back to draft right here, the Steelers get the next best thing, a solid offensive tackle. Leatherwood would probably be a late first round pick even without the good offensive line class this year brings.
25. Jacksonville Jaguars [via LAR]; DT Christian Barmore-Alabama
Bar more becomes the first DT off the board, and I can’t see him any higher then 23. The Jaguars get a solid presence on their defense who has boom or bust potential.
26. Cleveland Browns; EDGE Kwity Paye-Michigan
Paye would be much higher without the depth in this class and team needs. He is a great edge rusher and Cleveland can pair him, Clowney, and Miles Garrett up on the line to create a dominant pass rush.
27. Baltimore Ravens; EDGE Gregory Rousseau-Miami (FL)
Rousseau has many consistency concerns (read my Prospect Analysis on him) but shouldn’t fall out of the first round. A bad pro day could wind up costing him. Though, his agent says teams will draft him in round 1.
28. New Orleans Saints; CB Greg Newsome II-Northwestern
Newsome is a great cornerback who I can see the Bears keeping in Chicago. Here I pick him on the Saints because he fills a team need.
29. Green Bay Packers; OT Jaylen Mayfield-Michigan
Was gonna joke and have them draft a kicker here. But being serious, they need o-line help and Mayfield makes sense in this selection.
30. Buffalo Bills; EDGE Jaelen Phillips-Miami (FL)
After missing out on one of the top 2 running backs, Buffalo goes and gets Jaelen Phillips, another Miami edge rusher. He could go above Rousseau, but here I don’t see it.
31. Kansas City Chiefs; LB Zaven Collins-Tulsa
Collins won the Bronko Nagurski Award for the best defensive player in college. Coming from a smaller school, he might fall a little more than he should.
32. Tampa Bay Buccaneers; DT Levi Onwuzurike-Washington
The Buccaneers need a replacement for Gerald McCoy. Pairing Onwuzurike on the line with Vita Vea could make that line dominant for years to come.
This is the final Bears Mock Draft that I am doing. Actually, I should say we are doing. I collaborated with Instagram User @bears_wire for this 7 round mock draft. I made most of the picks, while he mainly did the graphics. Anyway's, I'll start discussing why we made these picks.
Round 1, Pick 20: OT Teven Jenkins
With us deciding on no trades, Jenkins would be a great pick at 20. He would solidify a soon to be great offensive line, and with us finding our potential QB future in round 2, that's what we need.
Round 2, Pick 52: QB Kellen Mond
Mond is a highly underrated QB. This QB class is so deep that he could just slip right into our hands at 52. It would be a great selection as he could sit behind the Red Rifle and learn from him for a year.
Round 3, Pick 83: WR D'Wayne Eskridge
The Bears reportedly have Eskridge high on their draft board. He could be a solid receiver for them, but after analyzing Dyami Brown after we made this mock, he could also be taken here
Round 5, Pick 164: DT Jerome Johnson
After recently analyzing Johnson, I found him underrated and a potential gem at DT. We need some defensive tackle depth even with Eddie Goldman coming back, and Johnson could fit there. There are also talks about moving to a 4-3, something which could be good.
Round 6, Pick 204: DE Chris Rumph II
I have Rumph coming to Chicago for one reason. His dad is our new D-Line coach. He can train his son and have him potentially become a future starter after Hicks leaves or retires.
Round 6, Pick 208: CB Robert Rochell
I am doing a prospect analysis on him, which should be released when this article goes up. This would be a typical Pace pick though. A small school, high potential prospect that fills a team need.
Round 6, Pick 221: DE (OLB) Tarron Jackson
This pick was made by @bears_wire. He said that we need some OLB depth, and we could convert Tarron Jackson to one. Otherwise, he played solid for Coastal Carolina last year.
Round 6, Pick 228: S Tyree Gillespie
The Mizzou safety finds his way to the Windy City because we need some depth in his position. He might wind up being a practice squad player after camp though.
@bears_wire (IG) and I's Bears 7 Round Mock Draft, Graphics Done By Him
The Bears have traded up to the 11th pick to draft Justin Fields. They traded with the Giants to get to #11, giving up #20 and #164 this year, and our first and fourth round picks next year.
Many had linked the Bears with a trade up into the top 10, but Justin Fields fell out of the top 10. The Bears proceeded to move up and leapfrog some teams that may have been looking at QBs.
Fields, a 2 year year starter at Ohio State, led the Buckeyes to the National Championship last year. He also made the CFP in 2019. I had a final grade of a 9.8/10 on him. With this we may have secured our first round QB.
After selecting Justin Fields at #11 last night, the Bears continued their best possible draft scenario by selecting Offensive Tackle Teven Jenkins out of Oklahoma State. Jenkins will provide protection for Fields and Andy Dalton. In the most recent Bears mock we had Jenkins going to Chicago at 20. Somehow he fell and we traded #52, #83, and a sixth rounder for #39 and an extra fifth this year. A potential steal of the draft.
In my first ever draft roundup, it is time to recap the 2021 NFL Draft. Obviously, we now have more hope then we've had in, well, a long time! The closest thing to now was the 2018 season. This comes from a great draft by Ryan Pace. Just about 5 days ago, everyone wanted Pace's head after his offseason moves up until draft night. Then, that narrative all changed. Well, let's start at the beginning. After 10 picks, the Giants came on the clock. With Devonta Smith going to the Eagles the pick before, they really didn't see anyone as a fit here. So, the Bears called them up about a trade. After some negotiation, Pace traded Picks 20 and 164, and first and fourth round picks next year to move up and get Justin Fields. A+ move there. Next came day 2, and we originally had picks 52 and 83. However, we landed a steal in Teven Jenkins at pick 39, after Pace traded 52, 83, and 204 for 39 and 151. Another A+ move by Pace. We had to wait until 151 for another draft choice, and this came in the form of Larry Borom, a tackle out of Mizzou. This would ultimately spell the end for Charles Leno Jr, who was sadly released today as a cap casualty after a solid seven year tenure, which included a Pro Bowl appearance in 2017-18. Next we had pick 208, though Pace surprisingly traded down, gaining picks 217 and 250 along the way. With 217, we selected Khalil Herbert, RB out of Virginia Tech. Fun Fact: Herbert has 6 toes on one of his feet. He will likely be our new kick returner. Then, with 221 (compensatory selection), and technically the first pick we owned coming into the draft, Pace chose Dazz Newsome, a speedy wideout from the University of North Carolina. I posted a highlight video on him the other day so make sure to check it out. Then, with the last pick of the sixth round (228), we landed the steal of the draft in Oregon cornerback Thomas Graham Jr. Graham was ranked 78th on Pro Football Focus' Big Board, and we landed him 150 picks later. He has a history with Jaylon Johnson, which goes back to Junior Year of High School. And with our final pick, Pick 250, we selected DT Khyiris Tonga from BYU. The defensive lineman will bring good depth to a position which many people did not realize needed it. Ryan Pace also made himself busy after the draft, signing some UDFA's such as DE Charles Snowden, a steal from Virginia. Overall, it has been a great time to be a Bears fan these past few days!
